At Daswin Tower in Jakarta, Kinzi helped transform the architect’s initial geometric sketch into a fully engineered and buildable stainless steel façade solution. The architectural screen is formed from oval stainless steel tubing arranged in a repeating diamond and triangular geometry, creating a distinctive exterior feature while demanding extremely tight control over form, alignment and surface quality.

From Architectural Sketch to Buildable Solution
Kinzi’s scope extended beyond component manufacturing. Starting from the architect’s design intent, our team carried out design development and engineering to translate the concept into a manufacturable system, followed by fabrication, manufacturing and on-site installation.
Complex Oval-Tube Forming
One of the most demanding parts of the project was forming the oval stainless steel tubes through multiple angles and twists. The geometry had to be achieved without collapsing the oval profile or leaving visible marks on the finished surface. This required careful development of the forming process and close control throughout fabrication.

Precision at Every Connection
The geometric pattern depends on precise alignment at every joint. During fabrication and assembly, the connections were controlled to gaps of less than 1 mm, allowing the joints to appear almost seamless when viewed as part of the completed façade. Maintaining this consistency across the repeated geometry was essential to achieving the architect’s intended visual effect.
